All candle names are the property of Two Sisters Candleworks, LLC

*Note: These candles may contain a synthetic based fragrance oil,
not a soy based fragrance oil.
They are the Oklahoma Prairie line of Two Sisters Candleworks candles.
We have found that some synthetic based fragrance oils may,
but not always, cause a slight blackening to the jars.
This is due to the fragrance oil used and not the soy wax.
We use all natural, cotton wicks, and the best soy wax on the market.
Two Sisters Candleworks candles have an extremely strong scent throw.
Most of them have an excellent 'cold' throw as well.
(Meaning - all you have to do is take the lid off to scent a whole room!)

Please take a moment to read the following safety tips, burning tips and cautions. They are very important for your safety and the quality burning of your candle. Burning a candle isn't as simple as just lighting and letting it go. Some of these tips are not common knowledge and can help prevent disasters. Any candle flame can smoke if the flame is not burning efficiently. Other brands of candles will smoke because of the petroleum levels in the wax. Even essential oils can cause smoke. Our candles will not smoke if you take proper care of the wicks. If one of our candle flames is smoking, it is not burning efficiently. What you are seeing is carbon that is not able to burn off because the flame is too big or is in a draft. Remove the candle from the draft and/or trim the wick. Wicks will tend to cause smoke if the wick is not kept trimmed before lighting. Please trim your wicks with every use.

Soy wax is a softer wax than what you are probably used to burning.
It burns completely different than a paraffin candle because it is a different fuel.

Unlike paraffin, beeswax or gel candles, properly wicked soy wax candles melt at a safe and comfortable temperature. Soy wax burns 95% cleaner than paraffin, producing little or no soot. We use cotton wicks and each wick is firmly affixed to the bottom of the container so that it will not shift when the container is moved. The wick will become soft and lay over if the wax pool is to large. (This may happen if container is set on a candle warmer.) If the wick seems to be leaning toward the side while burning, simply extinguish the flame and straighten/trim the wick. Once the candle is exhausted, any remaining wax can be easily removed with hot soapy water and the container reused or recycled.

General safety for burning any candle:

~Never leave a burning candle unattended!
~Keep burning candles away from children and pets.
~Do not place near flammable objects such as curtains, walls, etc.
~Place on a protected, heat-resistant, level surface.
~Keep candle free of wick trimmings, matches or other foreign matter that could be a fire hazard.
~Avoid burning in drafts.
~Avoid walking with lit candles.
~Keep wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to avoid carbon build-up on the wick (mushrooming), dark smoking and soot in the air, on walls or furniture.
~Allow candle to cool before trimming wick or relighting.

Container/Jar Candles:

~To avoid glass containers shattering, do not burn in a container that is chipped or cracked. Do not allow candle to burn completely down to the bottom of container; stop about 1/2 inch short.
~Do not allow flame to touch sides of container.
~Containers may become very hot; handle with care!
~Allow candle to cool before touching the container.
~Container candles and votive containers should be set in a wire holder or on a trivet to protect surfaces from heat. Hot candle jars can damage furniture.
~All candles, especially highly scented ones, will produce some smoke and soot, but proper burning (keeping wicks trimmed, avoiding drafts, etc) will help eliminate this problem.

Helpful Tips

~Burn candles 1 hour for each inch of it's diameter. This allows the flame time to melt the wax to the outer edge. *Burning less time will cause the candle to core burn down the middle and shorten burn time. A candle has a memory.
~Use a wick trimmer or toenail clippers to trim wicks in jars in which scissors won't fit. Or use your fingers to snip off the end.
~Candles will fade if left in direct sunlight or spotlights for extended periods of time.
~Before a party, light and extinguish candles. They will light more quickly and easily later.
~Candles (generally tapers and pillars) refrigerated before using will burn more slowly and evenly. Wrap in foil or plastic before refrigerating to prevent wicks from absorbing moisture.
~To extinguish a candle, use a candle snuffer or hold fingers in front of the flame and blow. This will prevent hot wax from splattering.

Problem Solving

~If wick becomes too short to light, carve away enough wax to expose the fresh wick, then trim 1/4 inch off the top of the candle and burn to reform it's appearance.
~If wick moves off center, use a butter knife to gently push it back to center.
~If there is a draft near candle, rotating the candle can help.
~If soot builds up inside container, clean with paper towel and Windex, or baby wipes. Wipe over the cleaned area with water-dampened paper towels afterwards. Allow the container to dry thoroughly before relighting.
~Clean soiled or scratched candles with old nylons or use a touch of salad oil on a soft cloth.
~Remove wax from holders by running very soapy hot water over them.
~To remove wax from washable fabrics, scrape off excess wax and run boiling water through the material.

Call us today for Fundraisers.

I started my company because I wanted a strong candle that was clean burning and had a good strong aroma.

Our fragrances are 'right on the money' of the description given. I was tired of paying for paraffin candles that only burned down the center and many only have the top part scented and the rest of the candle is just colored wax.
Beware of two tone colored candles.
If you look at a candle in a container and can view a line near the top, even though it is the same color, then it is most likely a double poured candle.
I hand pour and label each candle by myself to keep quality control.
A Two Sisters Candleworks Candle is guaranteed to be a single pour.
Our candles are so fragrant that you don't have to burn them to scent a room.
Just lifting the lid and setting it in a counter will work!
